Introduction of “GPF Data”

One of every two vehicles is sold in developing countries. This indicates that the global automotive industry is shifting toward developing countries from developed countries. Hence, it becomes more important for automobile manufacturers and suppliers to meet local needs in developing countries and restructure their global production bases.

FOURIN entered into a new business relationship with BDW Automotive, one of the world's leading providers of information and forecasts regarding the automotive industry in January 2010, and launched the new global light vehicle production forecast data, “GPF” (Global Production Forecast), created by BDW in May 2010.

BDW forecasts global production of light vehicles by model based on automakers’ vehicle production plans and model policy, macroeconomic factors, market demand and various other factors which influence production.

Outline of “GPF Data”

“GPF Data” include light vehicle (passenger cars and light commercial vehicles with GVW less than 3.5t) production forecasts by model from 2010 to 2018. There is optional information, namely production location, segment, model program code/platform, production start/end. “GPF Data” also include actual production volume by model from 2008 to 2009.
