For deeper understanding of the Asian automotive industry

  • Analysis of global auto makers aiming to establish market presence with Asia-specific vehicles
  • Development strategies and competitiveness by Korean, Malaysian, Indian and other Asian auto makers
  • Automotive industry policies aiming for local market growth and export base operations from 2010
  • Competitiveness of global auto makers looking to strengthen market presence through product performance

Automobile production from Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, India and Pakistan topped the 9 million vehicle mark in 2007. Including Singapore in the group, domestic automobile sales surpassed 6 million units, with exports from the region exceeding 2.6 million.

On the back of such performance, domestic and foreign auto makers are aiming to expand production and release new products, envisaging full motorization from around 2010. In order to meet necessary demands, manufacturers are determined to reduce costs while improving quality and performance. Through diversification to develop appealing products, each auto maker is gearing itself for a new era of models around 2012 to replace major lineups which formed sales foundations from 2004.

Bringing vehicles to the masses requires development, marketing and sales strategies to cover the needs of varying consumers, making acquisition of specialized information paramount.

FOURIN Inc. presents the "Asia Automotive Industry Yearbook 2009 ー Automobile" as an essential source of trends and outlooks to provide related industries with invaluable intelligence and data to support any Asia automotive market business planning.
